Default Facebook, the burglary tool

I saw this and thought, "Wow, what a shock."
I thought it kind of went without saying these days, that you don't advertise to the internet when and how long you're leaving town. Right up there with "Don't leave your car running & unattended."

Bucks County Family Burglarized After Leaving Details About Vacation Facebook « CBS Philly

When I went on vacation, it was strictly a "need to know" basis. I forwarded the house phone to the wife's cell (no one wants to talk to me anyway), so if you called the house, you got an answer. Most people I knew had no idea I was even gone until I returned and told them. Just the way it ought to be.

Liberals are constantly telling us about the poor and oppressed in this country. With that in mind, why do they feel the need to keep importing poor people from other countries?

Several of us on here (Benning, Jack, Cane, myself) have been preaching about this for awhile now.

Companies (plural) use the internet and social media to screen prospective applicants for jobs. Resume sound good? Google the person and see their Facebook, Googleplus and Twitter pages. Cheap and easy background investigation.

Putting too much information out there is inviting people to take advantage of it. Especially now when the economy is in the crapper and people are out of work.

I feel kind of bad for the family because who wants to return from vacation to such a violation but C'Mon People!!! A little common sense huh??

I dont have any sympathy for 'em...you have 500,000,001 "friends" and let 'em all know your gonna be gone, for how long and such......you kinda get what you deserve.

Common sense dumb@$$!! Betcha dont do THAT again!

Kinda like standing on the seat of your motorcycle backwards going 100mph with no helmet. NAH, nothing could go wrong with THIS scenario!

Read the local obits.
When they post the time and date of the service, how many homes are empty?

Do you turn on the outside lights only when you go out for the evening?

Those social pages are not alone!

Add the fact that most of the portable phone devices you took those beautiful pictures of your guns has imbedded the GPS location where the picture was taken.

Can you say geocaching?

Any somewhat technologically adept person can shut down the GPS feature on their phone. I have!

But a person thats dumb enuff to post when and where they will be out of town prolly wouldnt be prudent enough of their own safety/security to do such.

These are typically the same people that think CCW isnt needed and that the 2A is an outdated bunch of mumbo jumbo.

Nothing turns a bleeding heart liberal (anti gun anti personal safety) into a full fledged consevative like a mouth full of their own blood, or being choked half to death with their own stockings as they are being raped.

I'm sorry, but I'm not buying it.

There is NO accountability in this country, and I'm sick of it!

FACEBOOK is not the REASON those people were burglarized. The REASON those people were burglarized is there was a BAD GUY WHO BURGLARIZED THEM!

The solution? HARSHER PUNISHMENT! Back in the "good ole days", horse thieves were HANGED in full view of the public at the court house square. How much problem do you think they had with horse thievin' back then?

POINT MADE!

BULLSH*T! It's not my fault, at all! (Although it is my problem...)

At Atlanta High School, in Atlanta, Texas, I was at the office getting a visitor pass to visit with the yearbook teacher. While the office lady was scanning my driver's license into the computer, a you lady comes up to the window and asked if anybody turned in two $20 bills. The office lady looked at her like she was crazy!

I'm eating lunch with the yearbook lady when she brings up the fact a young man had found the money in the hall.

The girl got her money back. That's character. That's how WE are raised in this part of the country... God Bless Texas!
