Yeah, my girl wears the pants too. It's cool.

She wears the pants. I get to take them off.

I've watched very small women learn to shoot very big guns in all the firearms schools I've been through. Female cops have to learn to be comfortable with their issued weapon or go home and bake cookies for a living instead. You'll never see one of them carrying anything less than a .38spl around. Most of them are packing .40S&W. The smaller ladies who aren't firearms savvy when they hit the academy shoot horrible scores at first. But they learn. Very rarely is anything smaller than a full frame .40S&W actually "too much gun" for a woman. The only time I've EVER seen it happen was with an older lady who showed up with a wrist injury.
We're working her into the larger calibers,...she is already proficient with any 38/357, and has put 5 of 5 in the X at 10 yds. with a Ruger Redhawk 44, so her ability with what she is comfortable with is not the issue. Her issues with working a slide come from her arthritis and carpal tunnel. She doesn't shy away from it either. The first gun out of her bag at the range is the 92FS. She is still working on the magazine change concept. She started it on her Buckmark and slowly got better with that. She is also using a new hand brace & Glove combination that keeps the circulation moving instead of restricting the movement.

Most husbands can't be the ones to teach their wife to shoot because they loose patience. I don't. I know she is a smart woman.
I have said to her if she was not comfortable with me there are plenty of folks who would help her, including our range owner, also a woman.
We were "window" shopping again today for a full time EDC for her. She wants another revolver, lighter then her LCR or a small auto. She loves the Sig238, but she had her hands on a Charter Arms today,..she told the store owner, "No Pink or Purple,..I'm not 12!"

i liked the comment a member made last year about the 9mm. rather funny.

he stated that a 9mm couldn't penetrate a windshield of a car. hmmmm.....so i did a test with my 9mm using FMJ and JHP ammo at a distance of about 20 feet. guess what? both went through the windshield through both sets of seats and the FMJ put a dent in one of the trunk panels.

yep, a 9mm won't go through a cars windshield.

I can do 1 better for you. We shot a 9mm Federal HST out of a Glock 26 through the door panel of an old Plymouth Duster out the other side through the window and into a tree. So not only did if shatter automobile glass, it went through the entire door panel like a hot knife through butter. And we couldn't dig the round out of the tree. It went in too deep.

We then shot 2 Federal .40 FMJ into the panel and they never came out the other side, just fell down in the inner workings of the door somewhere. I think the HST would have. But I didn't feel like walking back to the table where I left my duty ammo to find out.

What did somebody forget to engage their safety and shoot the dogs front teeth out? Or are we blaming that on the Glock shooters?

You shot a car? I can't believe you would do such a thing. I just wanted to shoot my friends, not my car.
