Default Expanded Background Checks Fail in the Senate - The Myth of the "Gun Show Loophole"

So, for now, liberty is a little safer. The gun control debate appears to be all but dead at this point and President Obama is once again left with egg on his face after an embarrassing defeat. But was it really a defeat, or merely a distraction?

I have maintained freom the beginning that "gun control" was a tactic to keep our attention away from how hard the economy sucks.

I didn't fight to defend your freedom so you could vote to take away mine.

"A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill."

This was Lord Obama's first major defeat. This was to be the first prize in his presidential legacy. He went down hard along with the Liberal press who supported this blunder. He split his own party and lost by big numbers.
He crawled from the Field Of Battle suffering from massive wounds to his posterior. Even "Dirty" Harry Reid voted against his president. They are spinning this to favor Reid. Facts are Reid's home state of Nevada was more important than Obama.
The Democrats will attack the NRA over the powder used in New York. MSNBC and the BATF have already laid the ground work for the reprisal.
