Yesterday , I did go to the ER . Three days after chronic hick-ups , I was very sore , ribs , stomach , just enough is enough . He did give me some sort of injection , a mild relaxer of some sort , it worked .

Wow , that really got to me . I ended up coming home and taking a three hour nap . Glad that's over and I am a little sore .

Time to get back to work , winter's coming on fast and I still have about seven chords of wood to cut and split . Prayers sent to all out there that experience any discomfort and may you find whatever it takes to get through it !

Teacher taught us this trick and it works instantly for me everytime .
Sounds stupid and you look stupid doing it but it works .
Stand up straight
take a full breath
hold your arms straight out to your side likeyour a air plane
SLOWLY breath out
by the time your done exhaling your arms should be down to your side again
all in all it should take about 20-30 seconds to do it .

My pharmacist had them the other day when I went in to pick up and I finally talked her into it doing it and it worked for her too .

if you need to beat hiccups in a bad way (yes, 3 days in a row is bad) .5 mg of thorazine works like a charm.

needless to say, you will need a prescription for it.

(common issue with cardiac bypass patients...also this was a common response from a doctor)

Some of my pain meds will give them to me at night , my flexeril will give them to me every time , mine come with a bit of acid burn . Think maybe the meds relax the diaphragm too much or something

I'm glad the hiccups are gone. Chronic hiccups can threaten your general health. I'm glad you were able to find relief.

Don't make it sound like you'll be swing an ax to cut and split your firewood. We all know you for a fancy shmancy log splitter.
