Default Egg Nog

I was doing some grocer shopping today and passed the dairy section. There were some cartons that didn't look familiar and on closer inspection I saw they were cartons of egg nog. Personally, I can't stand the stuff. It's thick and cloying in my mouth. I don't care if it's laced with some alcohol. I just can't drink the stuff. My oldest son loves it. He drinks it in moderation because the calorie content is incredibly high. For him, it's a great treat.

What is your opinion? This is my annual Egg Nog poll.

A rude awakening when, half asleep, you pour it on your Cheerios! *gag* My lady loves the stuff. First time she ever tried it, my aunt laced it with moonshine. Aunt asked if she would like white or brown in her eggnog- my lady thought she meant sugar. She said white.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.

as a kid i loved it. now as an adult i will have one or two glasses and thats all. it just seems overpoweringly sweet to me these days.
I have been a silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hour comes
when I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I fly at half-mast to honor my soldiers,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving mother
at the graveside of her fallen son.

I'd rather just drink the brandy or bourbon and leave the nasty nog to others.

Christmas and grandma's eggnog. Like peanut butter and jelly. The store bought stuff I can live without.

We always get some every week, the kids have drank a 1/2 gallon already. I usually mix with Captain Morgan or butterscotch rum.

Love it. But, since I've noticed I'm putting on a few pounds after quitting smoking (I was afraid that would happen), I won't be having any of that or the fruitcake.
