You gotta love it when the victim becomes the victor! He was lucky I wasnt the one "In Fear for my Families Lives" cause I would have picked my Ithaca Featherlight 12 gauge to respond with, they wouldnt have had to go very far to pick him up...

I Googled it but I cant find the story!

Some years back a fellow hijacked a refrigerated 18 wheeler truck, the ones used to transport beef, this poor fellow thought he could unload his cargo easily, being it was beef. The hijacking was reported to police, the police discovered the truck going down highway and pulled it over. When all is said and done at the end of this saga, the hijacker was informed what he thought was a load of big money beef, was actually a full load of beef/cow rectoms on it's way to whatever they do with beef/cow rectoms.

You just know when his fellow inmates found out what he had stolen, everyone had a good laugh,an gave him a nickname!

Just got this on the Skynews app,

Two men who allegedly robbed a Burger King were caught by police after leaving the restaurant and finding their getaway car had disappeared.
Police said Jeremy Lovitt, 23, and Gabriel Gonzales, 19, held two employees at the Burger King in Stockton, California at gunpoint and demanded they hand over the restaurant's cash, Fox 40 reported.

However, during the robbery, another worker slipped out the back of the store and found an empty car with its engine running and the keys in the ignition.

Realising it must have been the robbers' getaway car, the employee got in and hid the vehicle around the corner.

Lovitt and Gonzales then tried to run away, but were quickly caught by police, authorities said.

Lovitt was charged with felony robbery and is being held in the San Joaquin County Jail on $150,000 (£99,768) bail, police records showed. His next court appearance is set for Wednesday.

Also set to appear in court on Wednesday, Gonzales is being held without bail on the robbery charges and several other outstanding warrants, including a misdemeanour charge of receiving stolen property.

It did not happen this week, but we had one of the dumbest (or perhaps unluckiest) criminals right here.

One of our Deputies (I'll call him Bick Lighter) resign to go to work at the PD in a Denver, Colorado suburb. About a year later, his college room mate was getting married in Austin. Bick came back to stand up with his friend on the big day.

At the reception, a knucklehead car burglar broke into several cars, including Bick's. He stole Bick's wallet (including department ID from Colorado) and pistol.

A few days later the car burglar got stopped by one of our Deputies for speeding. Figuring no one in Austin will know Bick, he flashed Bick's badge and ID (with his thumb strategically obscuring the photo). The Deputy said "I know Bick Lighter, and you ain't him" while screwing a S&W M-66 in the guy's left ear.

Remember, it is a small world and we have friends in many places.
