Slow the one on the left looks like he belong to Orangello (Looks a little stoned).
Funny tidbit of info.
Although I bet jwhirl413 already knows this.
Australian Shepard's are an American breed none of the dogs involved ever came from Aussi.
We had one of them stupid guys that sells meat out of the back of his pickup come knock on the door tonight. Shelby came out of nowhere and stop about 1" short of the front door glass and was growling and barking like a dog that weighed 130#. She got some special noms for that. Made that guy jump 6 feet back off the porch.

You are correct, they probably would be better suited with the name American shepherd. They can herd anything, children, sheep, cattle, badguys, and if the shtf we may use them to herd some sheeple, here's a video that you may enjoy, spud doing some real work...

Don't let their docile looks fool you though. They may look small, but in reality, Bassets are FULL size dogs, just with shorter legs. Originally, they were bred to hunt foxes, rabbits, and....BADGERS 
So don't be 'dissin' the pup - j/k. Besides, you'd have a 50-50 chance if you got in the house, that he'd either eat you or hump you.

This is our new pup we picked up this weekend. She's a Heeler / Border Collie cross. She's only 5 weeks old, but already has the "herding stalk".

I am currently limited to two cats, one fairly large. Someday, i will own a yellow lab named Lemonjello. I frequently borrowed a friend's yellow lab for canoeing and camping when i lived in TN; it was a wriggling ball of insane energy named Lucy. It's owner adopted it after it failed out of cadaver finding school. After a good day of canoeing (Lab reads as swimming) that dog could eat a Waffle House porterhouse steak in three bites or less, extra time for hashbrowns. R.I.P. Lucy
