The only thing better would be for those countries to have their own self sufficient militaries and have our people come home safe and sound.

That's a great photo and I bet if you took a look at photos from EVERY conflict since the invention of film, you will find a similar, iconic, photo.

The American Soldier has always been about hope and security for the oppressed. This photo is no different.

Great find Yunus.

Considering the fact that the BG's put the kids in FRONT of them, this pic says it all.

Pu**ies...I hear the Taliban in Afghanistan are now putting snipers in civilian homes to prevent return fire from our guys. They should be dragged out to the town square and executed as war criminals when captured.

There are no better examples of what America stands for than the Uninted States' military men and women! That picture SHOULD be on every newspaper front page in the world, but sad to say I bet that you don't see it anywhere.

BG? It's sad that you automatically saw a man with his child and thought BG. I doubt those Marines would be taking up that type of position for a bad guy.

Amazing photo.

I don't believe Gorknoids was talking about the Guy in the Photo, but rather the other Human shield using cowards that hide behind Women and Children.
