Okay I'm guilty, I will mix a drink with good bourbon. I will sip blantons or 4 roses neat. I had alcohol poisoning when I was 15 from Jim
Beam and vodka. It's ruined my stomach to it.

GOOD whiskey? No.

Cheap whiskey? Yes. Water, ice, ginger. The good stuff as it is.

Always remember the military "Drunk, rules for getting"

1. Not too often
2. Never on duty
3. With good booze
4. With good companions

Well Kytowboater you look pretty young you have time to repent and heal. As a matter fact you are younger than a a barrel of good Scotch.:D

Here's my favorite mixed drink:
1. get a shot glass
2. put a shot of whiskey in it
3. sip and enjoy

Yep, and being on a cold mountain with snow snakes bitten thru your Wranglers and the wind bringing tears to your eyes. Then your partner reaches in his parka and offers you a drink of smooth Ky Bourbon. The friendship and good whiskey will warm your soul.:)

This exactly.....of course I've never been in this situation before. Currently living in Phoenix by way of Orange County, CA, but it sure sounds good. Lol

Well I grew up on Jim Beam in a tall glass with ice and a splash of coke or just enough coke to change the color, it is a thing to please my wife. I do drink Makers Mark on the rocks with a Makers Mark cigar on special occasions.

With ginger ale and a splash of fruit juice.
