I can remember when a quarter would get a coke and a candy bar.

I can remember when schools didn't have daycare.

I can remember a handshake instead of a contract.

I can remember my ex-wife, although I wish I couldn't.

I can remember the day I found out my draft number was 11.

I can remember Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo

do you remember when.......................

gas stations and grocery stores gave out Green Stamps?

when there were Green Stamp stores, that you could trade the stamps for merchandise?

when gas stations were full service?

when people had gun racks in the back windows of trucks and used them for guns?

when you could buy a gun in a hardware store?

Cigarettes were 22 cents a pack and no health warnings on the side...

Each month Motor Trend magazine had a full back cover with a state of the art cigarette ad. Pretty girls, hot cars, no wonder we got hooked!

I do actually remember when some gas stations were still full service. I was really young though.

I don't remember this, but I know what it is.

many TV stations when they went off the air late at night used those or something similiar. i haven't seen one in many years, as most stations now, broadcast info-mercials late at night.

Do you remember when a bright red "Radio Flyer" and a "Red Ryder" BB gun outfitted a back yard safari?

I remember as a child we went on vacation down the old Route 66 and seeing gas wars with gas as low as 12 to 14 cents a gal. That was around 1957. My dad was the TV repairman, and when I was not in school I went with him on the service calls to the customers house. That was because for awhile dad and mom both worked.
