How did you know?? Several years ago I had to replace the entire floorboard on the drivers side (there wasn't much left of it). It's time again, the little bit that's left just sort of teeter totters on the frame,I have to be careful where I put my feet.I have to replace some of the passengers side to.

Pearl Harbor news was blaring on the radio and in "extra" editions of the newspapers?
News of D-Day?
Hiroshima and Nagasaki?
The movies where Richard Widmark won WWII?
Being pulled around in a Radio Flyer wagon?
Milk in glass bottles being delivered to your door, into a "milk box" near the front door every other morning?
"Gang Busters", "Amos & Andy", and "Inner Sanctum" were popular radio programs?

when Yahoo chocolate drink came in a glass bottle?

when the smell of fresh cut grass meant the coming of summer?

Yep. People often speak of the "good old days". Those were the good old days. Nowadays if there is a group of kids on the street corner in the evening it is considered "gang activity".

Yep. When I was a kid, maybe 10 or so, gas was 17.9 cents a gallon. But then, $3000 a year was a living wage, too. So basically, a dollar ain't worth s**t any more.

sad but true. i can remember my grandfather driving across town to pay a penny less a gallon for gas when he filled up. IIRC, it was in the low twenty cent range per gallon!

I remember my younger brother and I walking up the highway, picking up glass pop bottles to get deposits back, to buy .22lr rounds at an old country grocery store. At that time, anyone could buy ammunition anywhere, in Ga. anyways, and it was never an issue.

You used to have trouble falling asleep the night before opening day of your favorite hunting seasons & Christmas Eve?
