I remember when the first cable TV company came to town. They had a glass front to their building with TVís set to each channel they carried on their cable. And people wore the grass off the front of the lot, parking at night to watch TV programs from their cars.

High beam button on the floor to the left of the brake/clutch pedal.

Damn staticky AM radio.

Room on the front seats to properly watch submarine racing.

It was easy to unhook the odometer on Mom's car so she had no clue exactly where you might have gone.

No cell phones so as a teenager no one could reach out and touch you.

I remember being a 14 YO gas pump jocky, worked 10 hours on SAT & SUN. Run out to the cars, the driver would tell you 5 gal of ETHYL & by the way check the oil and don't spill on the GD engine because he didn't want to smell burning oil for the next 10 miles..... oh the good times

LMAO I had that happen to about 3 Deep Purple "Machine head" tapes in a row. I never did buy another one. I had a nice 8 track in the ol 72 Nova I bought in 73 when I got out of the army. And a couple of nice 8 inch speakers. It sounded like I had head phones on whenever I cranked it up!
