"You know you've reached middle age if..." (A few samples). "Your baby
pictures are in black and white"..."You remember when it took an hour to
bake a potato"...or, "You've emptied the water pan under the refrigerator"!:

Have the book? Hell, I lived it all. I don't need to be reminded of my long-past youth.

I don't need a book to tell me I'm old. I can do that by looking in a mirror..

No need for a book or to look in the mirror...the constant reminder (yes even when I am asleep) by my body is more than enough.

Default The good Old Days.......

You know you're old when you can remember going to school barefoot and the teachers you had taught your parents!!!

Come on Will, it doesn't count if you were conceived in that same school.

And Robo What Do you remember in your old Age. I remember gasolene being 19 cents a gallon, bread was 30 cents a loaf and milk was 60 cents a gal. and it was milk, not watered down. fresh corn was 2 cents and ear, 50 # potato's was $2.50 on a good year. Yes I remember. The Day they let the Indian and coloured into the schools. I'm only 57 but I remember. I'm the only one in the Family that remembers my little sister who died at child birth and was waked in a small coffin in our own living room. My Mother was still in the hospital. You see Robo we grew up in the south and lived off the land and did what we had to do in order to feed the Family. No disrespect, Wills in da Swamp in La. P S The Old Bourg School is still in use in Terrebonne Parrish

Default Well, Dang!

I do not remember (the good old days) in such a bad light! I remember being
promoted "on merit" & not by "kissing the captains coattails"! And my dollar
having a lot more purchasing power, and now the "gummiment" is working to
make my retirement fund worthless by forcing us to convert most of the cash
value of it to government "junk bonds"! (No wonder gold prices have been
skyrocketing to historic heights)!

That's cold, man. True, but cold!

Speaking of cold, I remember when getting ice from the freezer meant you had to lift the metal bar in the middle of the metal ice tray to free the cubes...and sometimes if you weren't careful, you could cut/pinch yourself...and if your hands were wet, they'd stick to the metal tray!

My found pictures of me when I was young. She framed them and hung them up on the wall. No escape!
