Had whiskey basted chicken and taters last night. Tasted good, but it was tough as hell for some reason. Like, shoe leather tough. Couldn't even make a meal of it.

We ended up scraping the carcass of meat, which I stowed in the fridge. This evening, I'm going to use it and the broth to (hopefully) make a much better chicken soup.

I'll add a couple of taters, some baby carrots, egg noodles, and dumplings. Maybe crack open that can of swanson broth to help with the chicken flavor (I only managed to save about a 1/4 cup of broth last night, Sue knocked the bowl into the sink.)

I reckon some home made, possibly fried, biscuits would go well with it. And maybe a beer. Don't know, I'll have to think about that. Okay, I thought about it, I'm getting a six pack.

Yeah, I'd open that can of broth. It'll be so tasty.

And what's this? Fried biscuits? I've never heard of that.

After a couple of hours add vegetables and cook for a few hours and this is what you get. So good.

I think I'll make a big pot of Ham & Baked Potato Soup, topped with shredded cheddar. Biscuits & beer as sides and some kinda veggies. It's been a mix of crap & more crap falling out of the sky today & it's around 35 degrees, here in S.E. PA.
