Homemade bacon and cheese brats (hey I'm from WI) and red garlic and herb potato salad. Was originally going to grill out, but we are getting thunderstorms and hail right now.

We have been working in the yard all day and neather of us really feels like doing much cooking so tonight I'm grilling burgers with fried krinkle fries. The krinkles hold more ketchup.

I had a steak chimmichanga with the requisite beans, rice, and Pico de gallo.
Also got some roasted pork to add to my tomatilla jalapeno salsa.

And I made some German gurkinsalat for tomorrow's lunch.

Tonight I'm going to stir up some Sloppy Joe's. Mine is very basic. Ground Beef, envelope of Sloppy Joe mix, small can of tomato paste, 2 of the tomato paste cans of water, small can of mushrooms, onion and crushed red pepper. Cook over low heat till its thich enough so it doesn't run off the bun. Does anyone have a good recipe to share?

Sloppy joes

One pound of ground beef, browned with onions and sweet peppers diced in, drain. Add salt and pepper to meat before browning.

squirt ketchup in meat until as juicy as you want it.
About 4 tablespoons of brown sugar........or to taste
about 3 tablespoons white vinegar
a couple plops of lemon juice.

Taste and tweak until it suits you. A very nice sweet/tart sloppy joe. A favorite around my place when the kids were all still living at home.
