The corned beef I picked out weighs a little over 4 lbs. so I see an Rueben in my near future. I don't eat much cabbage either but I like it well enough to eat it cooked once a year. The wife made some Cole Slaw last week that your supposed to mix up and then freeze before serving. We're going to fry a chicken this week sometime so we can try the slaw.

I love corn dogs. I usually just buy the frozen ones in Wally World but I have made my own a few times and they turned out pretty good. Cheap chop sticks make a good handle for the homemade ones. I also have a big pack of ice cream sticks on my workbench for odd jobs but they are a little short for full side dogs. Story of my life.

I took some ribs out of the freezer when I got up this morning and a little while ago I noticed I had also taken out a lb. of ground chuck and since its already about thawed out guess I'm grilling ribs and burgers tonight. I'm a burger kinda guy anyway.

Default Smell the roses...............

We may live without poetry, music and art. We may live without conscience, and live without heart; We may live without friends; we may live without books; But civilized man cannot live without cooks. He may live without books,-what is knowledge but grieving? He may live without hope,- what is hope but decieving? He may live without love,- what is passion but pining? But where is the man that can live without dining.............

The wife asked a few days ago if we still had any homemade pizza in the freezer and I told her I didn't think so and she informed me I would be making one in the near future. When I make a pizza its time to clean the oven. I kinda get carried away and end up with deep dish.
