Careful! i'm in Texas, and we Texans, take our chili pretty serious!

i've got a chili recipe i have been working on for over 25 years now. my prep and cooking time, not including the simmering time is about 4-6 hours. you can't rush good chili!

Now that's a matter of opinion, isn't it? I could make a very interesting and tasty grilled cheese, too.

I start my chili out in a dutch oven but when it's ready to simmer, I transfer it to a Crock Pot so it can simmer all day and not burn on the bottom. I usually sleep while it simmers because I work weird hours.

Default Dinner, what's up?

Four of the Years I Taught, I was the Catering Shop Teacher. I baked my way through HS and the 1st 2 years of college BFTA(before the Army). My Aunt and many cousins had bake shops that did cakes pies and pastry, but I cut my teeth baking Bagels, and different Breads. Learned other stuff after that.
