I am on my own today. Made deer liver with peppers and onions. Also, a side of fried rice with chopped up deer kidneys. Oh, and a Bischoff Premium beer.

I don't put onion on my sea shells but I like one on the side to just have a bit of now and them. I like to core an onion and put some butter and a bouillon cube and bake it like an apple. There is a Red Robin in Lawrenceville, GA that I want to go to sometime and just order one of their onion ring towers and make a meal out of that.

Tonight I'm going simple and just have biscuits and gravy. I have a pound of Jimmy Dean sage sausage to brown, add about 5 or 6 tablespoons of flour and cook that till its a little brown, add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of milk, a little salt and pepper and cook it till its thick enough to stay piled on biscuits opened up and its time to eat. Have a Boston Butt (why do they call it a butt when its really a shoulder?) in the smoker at 225 degrees for 6 or 7 hours and tomorrow I'll turn it into BBQ. I think I have some Brunswick stew in the freezer so need to dig that out too. A little Texas toast and you have a fine meal.

Have you been to Boston. The shoulder is pretty close in proximity to the butt in most of New England. Probably why they call them Mass-holes.

You may have a point there Doc. Never thought of it that way. I have only been to the New England area once. We were getting a new control system for our power plant and the Company "Foxboro" was building it and I had to fly up for a week to help them lay out how the control screens would look. No way did I want to deal with the Boston traffic so I flew into and out of Providence R.I. instead. If I wasn't at the Foxboro Plant I pretty much stayed in my hotel cause I didn't speak the language.
