That's a good freakin dinner.
I'd add some Brussels sprouts or French cut green beans in there.
You know, help that meat and starch on its journey.

Put the Dutch oven to work on some peach cobbler for dessert. Supper was a repeat. Had left over fixings for stuffed bell peppers, so I stuffed and baked some again today.

I could eat a giant steak and be satisfied but I definitely appreciate some sort of potato (either baked or garlic mashed) and green beans. Im trying to think of other veggies that "go" with steak but I'm coming up blank. Brussels sprouts aren't my cup of tea though.

a simple dinner salad works as vegatable for me with steak and baked potato. some grilled shrimp work well with steak for me too.

I'd rather have some blue cheese and bacon crumbled and melted on top of my steak. I'm damn near drooling right now.

Gees!! I am glad I grew up before eating was seen as a guilt trip. Having a steak and a potato with a glass of smooth scotch on the side is OK. Green beans and slimy herbs are for people to repent if they feel guilty about enjoying a good meal.

Oh man, green beans almadine with a steak? The best.
And Brussels sprouts? I guaranteed I could fix them that you would actually like them.
Or asparagus. Green veggies are always a good side to a steak.

Ooh I love asparagus roasted with a little olive oil and coarse salt and a touch of pepper. I should steer clear of this thread while trying to watch my diet.
