Been squirrel hunting with my grandson every Sat. and Sun. for a month know. We always get a few and stop for a sausage biscuit after hunting. We made our own in the woods Saturday.


Frying the biscuits.


Now the sausage.


Time to eat.

My youngest son killed his first deer of the year on Saturday so we ate some of the back strap, and it was good.

Backstrap is awesome. Always looking for new recipes. How did you prepare it? i always marinate for 2-3 days in Lupo's Speedie Marinade then grill to medium rare.

I made some egg salad. Had a sandwich with Havarti cheese, some cherry peppers and a dill pickle.
Then came desert...there's a 24 hour donut shop 2 blocks from my house. I picked up a cinnamon roll and had about an eighth of it.
Doesn't seem like much but these things are bigger than your head!
Fresh out of the oven. Still warm and the glaze was still running.
