Peanut butter and syrup? That's just wrong!! I don't really even like pancakes or waffles with syrup.

Yeah. My wife tells me that several times a day...

But seriously, I like jam on my pancakes and waffles. Syrup is just too sweet. Heck, I don't even like honey on my pancakes, or even cornbread for that matter.

I don't like peanut butter too much, either.

I dip my pancakes in the syrup. That way you only get a little bit of the sweetness and not a overwhelming amount. Poured all over the pancakes is too much.

i like mine drizzled with syrup, and a little on the side to dip in too. too much poured over them and they get soggy and i don't like soggy pancakes.

I don't eat pancakes very often. I'm not big on carbs anyhow. My dad made up his own recipe for pancake batter that is awesome and I like that, but not the packaged kind or the common recipes. Too bland. I will eat syrup on pancakes if I am a guest at somebody's breakfast table, but I go easy on the syrup, or use jam if there is some on the table.

We used to have toast with syrup or honey mixed with peanut butter on the top and it got all melty and runny, that and some thick cut bacon is pretty much an ideal nostalgic meal for me!
