I'm not a fan of the duck type Carhardt jackets. But I own the one on this link and I fully suspect it will last me until I'm old and grayer. I didn't pay the price displayed by the way.

Carhartt - Product - Men’s Waterproof Breathable Jacket

It went t**s up in the seventies and started again in the eighties as a novelty nostalgia thing...I think they are long gone now. Both that and Grain Belt were brewed in Mpls/St.Paul...Grain Belt has been back for several years now....I'm a Leinenkugle's guy.

Anyway, I think the grease and dirt adds an extra layer of insulation against the cold. LOL

If you don't want to pay the full retail do what I do wait till winter is nearly over and the stores mark them way down I have about 4 or 5 carhart jackets and I didn't give over 40 dollars for none of them look at places like tractor supply or cavenders boot city

I don't need any more coats but if I stumble up on one I usually can't pass up a good deal if it's a style or color I don't have

They have incredibly warm overalls and coveralls, too.

I use carhartt for my work clothes. They may cost a little more but they are durable. Google sierra trading post for good prices.
