Ah, Mickey Mouse boots. The warmest boots we were never allowed to wear.

Anyone ever send a newb to look for Chem Light batteries?

Box of grid squares?

A can of track tension?

You were not allowed to wear your Mickey Mouse Boots? What kept your feet from freezing, or did they? Those old shoe pacs were good for about the first ten minutes or so.

About half your gear you weren't permitted to use. Soft caps had those ear flaps that folded into the hat, no-go at this station.

Field jackets had hoods in the collar. No-go.

Never used a tent pole after Basic. Shelter? No-go.

Most of what we had to carry I just stuck in trashbags, so it was clean for the inevitable TA-50 inspection when you got back.

Bucket of backblast, shot group tightener, and 100 meters of flight line.

And Gomen Nasai is Japanese for "I am sorry". Remember "Beer-u Kirin arismaska?"

I know it doesn't exist, but shot group tightener is what I need right now.
