Ah ok, that makes sense then. When people say air rifle or pellet rifle I think about the $40 crossman I played with as a kid. Still have it and its great for shooting mice inside the house....LOL!

It surprised me as well - probably why I remember it. If the coyote had not bit a kid, I wonder how long it would have gone on. I heard it on the radio while I was working at BlueWater Casino. Nuisance wildlife is a problem in AZ.

Feral cats, yes. Pets, no. One I've shot: skin and bones, s$%% diarrhea all over my garage, scratched my new truck, its skin was split open all the way around its neck. Another: had a three inch open wound on its back, oozing and dripping green stuff.

All were wild. What's the point of letting them live?

Here in Iowa I hear them all the time in my area especially in the early morning hours, I've seen their tracks on the property and in my pasture, but they've not been a problem. I have a 6 foot chain link fence to keep my Siberian Husky safe and my outside cats are put up at night in the shop. The only problem I have is with the raccoons that try to get into either the fenced area or the barn. I've got a standing policy which goes for the coyotes, eagles, dogs and all other critters that come on my land, leave my animals alone, otherwise I will kill you.

This is the air rifle i have Evanix Hunting Master AR6 it is a .22cal. it has a muzzle velocity of 1350 fps with 25. Ft/lbs of energy. Does more than draw blood on larger preditors. Where i live the leos dont see an air rifle as a firearm so no one bothers me when i shoot in the yard. I only do my shooting from a second floor back porch just so i dont have to worry about stray rounds. I dont condone using posin thats just mean. But this is my 2cents.

Are you sure that's not raccoon poop? Raccoons like to poop in open places like hiking paths and on cement, etc. Most cats want to poop where they can dig around and try to bury it.

The Pyrennes work and they are good with cats and our other animals. One Pyrennes equals no coyotes.they leave the neighborhood after just hearing the Pyrennes bark.
