Have you read the posts here? The coyote population is growing almost everywhere. Climbing fences into playgrounds. When I moved into my house 15 years ago, I never heard or saw any sign of them. Now, I hear them every night if I spend a half hour outside, and I see sign everywhere, including 40 yards from my front door today. I will kill em all at every chance I get.

Lock your cats up for the night. What other critters are that active at night. (Coons)

So is speeding. And I would rather be cruel to a coyote than let my cat git ate. Just saying

We have them here in southern indiana, i live on a state highway with a very large tract of land to my back. Land that is off limits to hunting as the owner runs a permanent ad in the local paper saying she'll prosecute anyone she catches on her land. As I type this message there are approx 30 deer standing in the cornfield behind my house, I occasionally hear coyote pup yelps and howls coming from the woodline approx 1500 yards from my property line but have never seen one cross the field. They are very smart animals and hunting them can be difficult. We hear them more at my father in laws place, he has about 90 acres 15 miles out in the middle of nowhere. He hears them at least 3 times a week out there and kills one or two a month without going hunting. Ive seen him shoot a coyote with a 30/30 across the steering wheel of a 1947 Farmall tractor or while splitting wood.

poison is indiscriminate. i'm sorry but IMO that's not a good solution. not wise at all. and while i agree he needs a solution o the problem, it also needs to be humane, as in quick and clean. poison isn't that.

Ill agree with every one else call the game warden and see if there any thing he can do. If you cant get any where with that use have a heart traps and a 22lr with shorts or alguea powderless ammo. Problem solved.

I'm serious! Putting donkeys on your land will keep them away! I have seen it; it works!

discharging a firearm when they have an ordinance against it will result in fines.
