You may want to back up on the anti toyota rigs. You can't beat an FJ40 landcruiser, 82-85 4x4 pickup or first gen 4 runner 84-89 when it come to off roadin. These were built like tanks and put the us stuff to shame. I've hauled bikes, huntin camp gear, birdogs, boats, trailers, and traveled down trails most would't think to go. Didn't care about natural pinstriping, rock dings or paint chips. Sadly my big dodge 4x4 gets punished the same way, can't get to half the places and I spend more time and money on reapirs when I should be huntin', fishin' and camping :-) ...but she rides nice ..........................markerdown

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Ain't that the truth! My first vehicle was an '82 Toyota. My dad and I decided that if we ever got it stuck, we'd leave it there! It never once got stuck, and I took that thing to places that would make a Z-71 piss itself! That was one tough truck!

Edit: I found that stick and you won't believe how much more comfortable I am now that it has been removed.

I've seen plenty of ranchers with top of the line loaded diesel trucks for haulin everything from stock trailers to water tanks, to feed, to ranch hands, fencing equipment etc etc. All with ac on and music

Get with it, it's 2010 not 1910. Unless you purchase fleet vehicles the basic truck is not the old hard ridin bucket of old. and those beat up old trucks were once new too. They just last a lot longer.

If you're afriad to scratch your truck, well that's your problem, IMO those folks shoulda bought a car.. . I can guarantee, I use my 4wd truck for what it was made for and then some. I bought mine in white so i don't have to wash it often, most dents blend in fairly well, and you can't tell that it's faded :-)

DarinCraft: That may be the way you do it down there in the city.

I didn't say anything about rusted out floor board or chew stains.

All the ranchers had a nice truck that they hauled the trailers that matched. Then they had the farm truck that was in tip top running shape but looks didn't matter.

Now for benning What ever truck you get you have to get a set of trucknuts that is a much have on a cowboy truck.

Get Some Balls

Jeeps are always good. Maybe a Comanche with the 4.0L straight 6, 2 inch lift and those Kevlar-reinforced all terrains. With my avatar on the back window.
