Whoa, pardner. I hadn't even considered heels. How do I identify?

It took about a year to get them, but they are one of the best pairs I have, and they only cost $5.00.

How did you pull that off? And love your avatar, one of his best movies.

O'lathey's (sp?) are nice but $$$$, I love my Rocky's and Wolverines. They have just enough heel that I can relax completely in the saddle, but I don't feel like I'm on stilts like with a packers heel. I don't wear spurs so I can get a shorter heel without too many problems.
Personally, I hate ropers (slip ons) because the bell hitting me every time I step and plus I don't need them to hold onto the sheeps back legs...I got velcro gloves for that . I do prefer 13 hole lace ups with that frilly fringe on the toe that I have no friggin' clue what it's for.

BB, what size you wear?

I can't agree with this more....but I LOVE my Ariats. My feet just feel at home in these
Ariat International - Ariat® Men's Scottsdale R Toe
I admit I dont work in them, they are just for kicking around but a great boot for under $200.

I asked because I was gonna send you a pair, but I don't think your big toe would fit into them.

Ropers
I have a set of bull hide lace up ropers. They are comffy let me tell you. Ropers are a low heel and more of a show boot that you can do some work or riding in.
ok I forgot to tell you.
Most of the time boot sizes are going to be 1/2 to 1 size smaller than runnign shoes.
I wear a 12 1/2 running shoe (Except for Nike) my boots are all size 11 1/2. Not sure why this is but that is the way it is.
So Brother Bigfoot Benning your going to want to look at size 12 boots.
