Less than $300.
Lon, what's the name of that boot? I really like the look of it. I wonder if my local western wear store carries Lucchese. I've been meaning to get a pair of cowboy boots as well. Have to dress the part when I go to the honky tonks around here. ;-)

All right Benning. This is straight from the resident horse guy. First and foremost, boots are like guns........ get the pair that fits YOU best. Start with good quality brands and try on different ones until you find what you like best.

Next, and I don't care what anyone says, pointy toed boots have the ghey. Boots with a little short squatty heels ...... have the ghey. And lace up boots ......... you guessed it, have the ghey. Unless you want to look like the guy that puts on this cowboy outfit once a year when the rodeo comes to town, take notice of what the real cowboys are wearing. Square toed boots are the thing right now. Personally I wear Twisted X boots, Silver Buckle Collection, model MRS0004. Lucchese makes square toed boots also and if you are going that route I'd look at the Tuff Hedeman line. Justin and Ariat are some other brands to look at as well.

And for what it's worth, you're going to want to get a couple pairs of Cinch jeans too.

Sure Lon,...... they don't have the ghey don't take what I said personally, I still have a couple pairs of pointy boots too. I still wear a pair of 20 year old $800 Tony Lama Lizard boots for special occasions.

I'm in the horse business and am at stock shows on a regular basis, and believe me you can tell the difference by the boots people wear... I'm just sayin.
