That is why I have an Uberti replica Model P (old style).

The Walker is a good idea. I have one (replica), definately a Texas gun!

The problem is that BB needs to decide what era he wants to be a cowboy in, pre Civil War, 1870's, or current era.

S&W Schofield Revolver.
Smith & Wesson?s Schofield Revolver
I never really liked the look of them until I saw 3:10 to Yuma
State of the art, top break/eject--much faster reload if you find yourself a scuffle in the saloon pardner.
Uberti now makes them in 45LC

I'm going for current era cowboy, but with a nod to the past. I have no black powder skills, and don't reload, so off the shelf cartridges are for me.

Allow me to clarify...

I hate my job, and I'm not too impressed with my home state. I'm seriously contemplating ranch work in Texas. It's honest, it's physical. And politically, I think Texas is going to be the center of alot of change shortly.

I've spent some time there, and fell in love with the place.

I know some may think that this is another "Benning Bit", but I'm looking into career opportunities there now.

I still love this custom pistol from The Quick & The Dead. The nickel finish Remington 1875 with silver grips

Or, you can actually get this pistol from 3:10 to Yuma. I have all the links, including the Hand of God grips and holster on my laptop at home. The whole gun isn't cheap, but it's a hell of set up.

What about USFA? I've heard good things about them. They seem to be a bit on the pricey side though, starting at $625 for the Rodeo.

The Original Rodeo Gun
John Wayne Centennial

The last one was added just because it's freaking sweet looking!
