Most military training has two hurdles to pass- physical and mental. The Sgt spent a year getting in shape for the physical- think she pretty much had a lock on the mental.

We used to get a few retreads- usually prior service Navy or Air Force- coming through Basic Training. Their maturity was usually a significant benefit to them.

My compliments to the Sgt. She done good.
