Cougars in Iowa
 
After years of reported sightings and denials, the Iowa DNR has to finally admit there are cougars in Eastern Iowa when one of the big cats shows up on a trail camera.

Probably should have gone with just lions. We get the mountain lions around here pretty regularly but it is rare for people to see them. I have seen many of them over the years, it depends on many things including luck, if you are paying attention and what time you travel the roads among other things.

They get down into the flatlands sometimes and then they can't hardly be called "mountain lions". The lions that live in the city are lazy cats. They eat the dogs, house cats, coons and possums that also have gotten lazy and moved into the city. Funny how that works out. A lion can't make out in the wildlands so it moves to the city.
