Anna if I am being too nosey go ahead and slap me, but if I remember right you grew up in Idaho. How did you end up in Alaska?

I ask because I live exactly 9/10 of a mile from where I grew up and the reasons that people move long distances fascinates me.

I have moved a lot; followed the money.

I know a lot of people do that, I have been fortunate up to now to not have had to do that. But some things are changing at my currant job and I am thinking if it goes to hell, I might go a little bit south, say western North Carolina, or eastern Tennessee. I am in Ohio now. I probably won't do anything until my daughter is out of school unless forced by work, but for the first time in my life I am thinking about making a real move.

One could throw a Thanksgiving feast for 12 for $50 but they would have started shopping several months in advance so they could get everything on sale. No way one could have stated shopping two weeks ago and got the fixins for $50. I managed to get a turkey for $10 (47 cents a lb). That store is high on everything but my wife's cigarettes. You had to make a $35 purchase to get the sale bird. So I bought her a carton of smokes and the cheap bird.

There is an inherited gene in the DNA of Western Americans. They are the off springs of families who were never satisfied with the tribal grounds of their ancestors.
Westerners are curious they always wonder just what is beyond the next mountain or across that river.
