You know Benjamin Franklin said fish and house guests both stink after three days. The fumes start here after about three hours on turkey day but Jack Daniels seems to do pretty good at killing the stench.

Since I been single again my aunt takes pity on me and invites me there.

The last Thanksgiving we had at our place when still married was probably 22-25 people and at least $150.00.

We usually have about 25+ people, and we split the feast up between the 5 local couples. Usually bake one turkey, fry one turkey, smoke a brisket, and some boar pieces, grill some duck, fry some gator, and maybe some blue crab stuffed flounder, snook, or red/black drum. Couple of tater dishes, swamp cabbage, green bean casserole, some pies, some homemade desserts or chocolates, and other randomness. Entirely too much food. I usually provide the fish (catch it all), some gator, some boar, and wife makes desserts and tater stuff. Wild guess we probably have a total of 300+ dollars wrapped up in dinner total. With plenty of leftovers for everyone. All day family affair, and it is a damn good time.
