Default Copy music from Ipod to Itunes/PC?

Anyone know of safe, preferably free software that can do this?

Was able to do it successfully a couple of years back, but it cost me $25 and I can't remember where I found the software...

Yet another computer died on me and iTunes won't recognize my Ipod from the new one...

Wasn't smart enough to back up my music last time...won't be making that mistake again...

Still have all my songs on the Ipod...so how should I go about transferring them safely?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I never should have went electronic...dammit...

Thank you in advance...

Edit to add: I tried the media widget by 'bootstrap' and it kept disconnecting the Ipod as well as 'Ipodrip" which wouldn't let me transfer multiple songs...just one at a time...pain in my a**!!

Do you have iCloud or another storage service? If you have iCloud enabled on a Mac you can use the "back to my Mac" Function.....

I was once trying to that. It's not an easy task.
I used software called iOS Transfer.
It allows you to transfer music from iPod to computer in a ease.

And this is exactly why I wouldn't take Apple "anything" even if you melted it down and poured it down my throat.

I click... then I drag... then I drop. Just like hiding bodies, only a little more enjoyable and with less sweat.

Really a shame when folks try and find negatives with an Apple product(or any company) instead of The Positives which outweigh the negatives. If you have Apple Hardware and an iOS device you simply share your stuff with your iCloud or into a Dropbox if you use that service. Really we have been able to do this since iOS 6 folks...
Then again some folks "see things" differently, and some just Think Different!!
