coolest TV/movie gun
This one ought to be fun for everybody. What do you think is the coolest firearm from a TV show or movie?
(not a poll, because I'm sure I've forgotten some)
Here are 25, off the top of my head; can you think of any more?
Roy Rogers' twin nickel-plated, engraved SAAs
Wyatt Earp's Buntline Special
Lucas McCain's ring-lever '92 Winchester
Paladin's "handmade Hamilton"
Matthew Quigley's custom Sharps Long-Range Business Rifle
Josh Randall's "Mare's Laig" cut-down '92 Winchester
Yancey Derringer's, er, derringer
Captain Call's Colt Dragoon from "Lonesome Dove"
From "Pale Rider", the Preacher's Remington cap & ball
"Outlaw Josey Wales"'s Colt Walkers
"The Man with No Name"'s 1860 Army conversion
The Duke's large-loop Model 92 Winchester
"Dirty Harry" Callahan's S & W Model 29
Eliot Ness's 1921 Thompson
"The Shadow" Lamont Cranston's twin 1911s
Joe Friday's Colt Detective Special .38 snubby
Whatshisname's Colt Python from "Miami Vice"
James Bond's Walther PPK
"The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Napoleon Solo's whatever-the-hell-it-was
The "Terminator 2" cyborg's Minigun
The assassin's plastic 2-shot derringer from "In the Line of Fire"
Han Solo's tricked-out Broomhandle Mauser--er, "Blaster"
Captain Kirk's Phaser
And don't forget...
James Garner's Sherman from "Tank"
And maybe the ultimate...
"The Guns of Navarone"!!

Rats. Never saw it. Now I have to go rent it...
Steve McQueen could have carried a rusty RG .32 and it would have been cool.

I'm pretty sure they both had them. I was 13 when the show started, and I was a HUGE fan. If I remember, the guns looked like .32 Berettas with screw-on barrel extensions, silencers, folding stocks, extended magazines, and scopes. Pretty bizarre, but at 13 I thought they were super-cool. You could buy a plastic toy version, but my best friend Mark (another huge fan) and I thought we were too old for those. I suspect he wanted one as bad as I did, but we were ashamed to admit it to each other...
