No, it's not funny at all. Worse than that, it's true. Now he's in the process of making America a third-world country. I just didn't want anyone to forget the big picture while we were yukking it up. I'm a dick like that.

Here is what I used to do on my summer break from school.


My dad old a world land speed record of 216.288 mph in a 1970 NA HEMI Superbird that made the one in this video sound like a moped. On that record run we went 220.439 mph on the down run.

The next day he did 222 mph and the throttle cable broke at the 1 mile before the flying mile and he was still clocked at 175 mph. We would have pushed the record over 220 mph. That was in 1984 and that 216.288 record stood until 2000 when a $100,000 purpose built race car broke the record.

In 1985 my dad started passing a kidney stone at 185 mph. By the time we got down to him in the chase truck he was laying on the salt in the fetal position.
