Default Cool camping trailer

I probably can't afford it and you can't buy it in the U.S.

That camper trailer is probably worth around $25k Aust.and goes up from there at a rough guess.

For those interested in where those scenes are they are from an area called the Telegraph Track in North Queensland and in particular a crossing at Gunshot Creek.

This crossing is insane and has caused more than a few 4wd's to finish their useful life there.
The trouble is that your way out in the boonies and if you destroy your 4wd it'll cost you somewhere around $5k to get it towed out to civilisation which is a few 100 klms away.

The 4wd in that promo is a Toyota Hilux with either a 3.0litre diesel or 4.0 litre petrol in it.

If you want to see what Gunshot can be like this should give you a rough idea on it's difficulty. There is a side track that gets you past this but quite a few tack the hard way for the pissing competition bragging rights.

This is just 1 video of what Gunshot can be like,

Or you could get a Coleman, put the springs on top of the axle and get some bigger tires...

That would be nice for Tropical picnics. I would not want this for hunting Elk in the Western Rocky Mtns. This would not be a comfort in -20 degree mornings and dragging it through 3 foot snow drifts on a steep down slope.
A tight shell and a good furnace with dual chained up wheels and braking system is very important for a camping rig is America's high country.

Admittedly we don't get 20' of snow over here during our Winters but these camper trailers get towed through our desert, sub tropical and tropical areas by lots of keen off roaders.
Our Tropical North gets in some places feet of water during the Wet season so nobody goes up there during our Summer but wait till March/April when the water has dropped in the rivers but there's plenty of places where there's a better than average chance of water up to your bonnet in the creeks.

With a bit of thought 1 of these could be modified to suit for the snow activities I would imagine or you can build 1 yourself by starting off with a good strong sub frame and then adding suspension to suit whatever your going to do with it.
