Most Hollywood movies are anti-gun propaganda disguised as entertainment . Examples :
The Pelican Brief : Good guys never use guns . Bad guys do. Good guy almost shoots his friend by mistake . Large anti-gun demonstration depicted with big HCI banner . Pathetic pro-gun demonstration with silly signs .
Mosquito Coast : Good guy moves to the jungle without a gun ( ! ) and outwits AK-47 toting bad guys .
Witness : Amish man is horrified by presence of a gun unlike real life Amish, who own long guns . No Amish in the movie have guns and the armed bad guys are defeated without resort to guns .
Easy Rider : Rednecks murder unarmed good guys with a sporting shotgun ( There must have been no "military style assault weapons" back then LOL ) .
I could go on and on. I did like ElectraGlide in Blue in spite of its depictions of misuse and mishandling of firearms . Same goes for At Close Range . Other possible classics include Little Fauss and Big Halsey, On Any Sunday, The Endless Summer, Vernon Florida, The Gig, Shirley Valentine, The Odd Angry Shot, Breaker Morant, Lonely Hearts, Careful, He Might Hear You,
the aforementioned High Noon, First Blood, The Longest Day, Midway The Dam Busters...
Plus One for Gone With The Wind
