Jerry Reed was one of the best gutarists there ever was. also a pretty good songwriter as well. having written songs for many of countries big stars over the years. he even wrote a few for Elvis.

..I believe the song was "Guitar Man" that was his first hit in 1966 (Chet Atkins produced it). Big E recorded a version (also a hit) a year later, but here's the original;
It's amazing how many of these posted old clips are tied to either "Hee Haw" or "The Johnny Cash Show". Brings back great memories to me.
