to name a few names of those i like listening to. Eddie Arnold, Ray Price, Charlie Rich, Jerry Reed, Jim Reeves, Mickey Gilley, Johnny Rodriguez, Mel Tillis, Roy Clark, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams Sr., ..........................

another one that brings fond memories to me is listening to Don Williams, the Gentle Giant. my grandmother didn't listen to much music other than her gospel music, and Don Williams was the only country western singer she liked. she told me one time many years ago, she loved the sound of his voice. so everytime i hear him, it reminds me of my grandmother. many thanks to the Gentle Giant for the happy memories of my grandmother. she passed away in 2009 and i still miss her a lot.

My grandmother loved music but she had a particular thing for Tom Jones back in the 60's He'd be on the TV singing Delilah or What's New ***** Cat and gyrating I swear my grams would start getting the vapors lol.... If she'd ever attended one of his concerts I'm confident she'd be tossing her drawers on stage lol... Love my grams she was a good woman She passed in 79

great thread texasww!

several years back, i would not have been able to participate. in my hard core "rock n roll" youth, i completely rejected country music! thanks to a good influence in my life, i started out giving hank williams sr and johnny cash a go. since then, nothing but love for classic country.

i REALLY appreciate REAL country music. in fact, i find when i opened up to country, i opened up to many other genres of music at the same time. now, i truly love and appreciate almost every genre of music!

if someone asks me what type of music i like, i can only reply "good music!"

thanks to all who posted. i, to my shame, have not heard of a few of the artists posted here. that means i get a chance to look em up and find out if i like them!
