it took me awhile to come around, but i really do like george strait! not sure he's "classic" yet....but he is damn good for sure!

and "amarillo by morning" is a great song! "love without end, amen" has gotta choke up almost any dad....well, maybe just me...

i think he's getting classic! much of his earlier music was very much deeply rooted in classic country and western style. he's become an inspiration to a new generation of country music artists as well.

i agree! he is getting classic....maybe i just don't want to be considered "classic" as well....

just gotta face facts, we are getting older day by day, not younger! several years ago, i probably wouldn't have even considered George Strait's music as classic!

I consider George Strait classic. His music sounds so much like the old stuff. Amarillo by Morning is definitely a classic at this point.
