I'm a fan of nearly all music. Metallica, Emenem, to Hank Jr. But no one beats Willie Nelson. He reminds me of my Dad.

...and for folks that have been here a while, and heard this before- Sorry- go do something else for a minute.

WAAAYYY back when, there were two boys trying to court my Mom. Dad, and a neighbor boy that lived between Mom and Dad. You never think of your folks as having been teens, and doing this dumb things that teens will do.

Well after a while, Mom decided she liked Dad, and HE was the one who could call on her at her house. So when Dad would go walking to see her in the evening, when his passed his rival's home, he would make it a point to sing this song at the top of his lungs.

BTW, this is the only country song I know of that was written by a Governor- of Louisiana.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. I spent 8 years driving across the Jimmy Davis bridge. I did not even click the link.

- right governor- different song. One you might sing when you want to sort of rub your rival's nose in it.

When I retire.. I'm going to contact some of my old punk rock buddies and put together a rockabilly band and start playing out in every roadhouse & honkey tonk we can find local...
