the song that started the wife and i on our way together, since both of us were dating other people at the time. she was dating a friend of mine and he didn't dance and she loved to dance, and i was dating someone who worked out of town a lot and was gone quite bit. and the rest is history as that was about 11 years ago and we are soon coming up on our 10th anniversay together. she is one of my best friends and the best thing that ever happened to me.

and we did have this other Toby Keith song that was one of our favorites. we had a local club we use to hang out on friday and saturday nights, usually with a live band. the club was called The Dolphin Club and it was the liveliest spot in our town on the weekends. lots of fun and lots of memories!

Toby Keith is good, I also like Texas George, Big and Rich, Kenny Chesney (before every song was about a beach), Alabama, Gary Alan, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and probably more old timers than I can think of right now! Favorite line ever is from Big and Rich "I'm the only John Wayne left in this town"!

one of our own Texas bands, Spur 503, which we first saw them play in Palestine Texas close to where we live and Chance was a close friend of one our friends is how we came to meet them. the guys are great performers and awesome people to hang out with. we have seen them play many, many times. we try and see them play when they areclose enough to visit.

one of my favorite Spur 503 songs.

Hard for me to not get emotional based solely on the subject of the song! Pure happiness!

requoting your previous post about this. just to put it into some of my perspective. music is about emotions for many, and for me country music brings me the most diverse of range of emotions of all genres of music.

i can hear certain songs that remind me of so many past events of my life, from the women i have fell in love with, to those i lost, friends and family who are no longer here anymore, to great times and sad times in my life.
