[QUOTE=cpttango30;404876]I never seen the fun in falling down a hill with sticks attached to my hands and feet.......

I don't fall down. Falling down is for rookies and kids. I have smite my torso and rib cage in narrow chutes walled by granite boulders and have 3 perminately broken ribs to prove it. But that was many years ago. The kind of skiing I do is a total adrenaline rush

Okay, so THAT'S what the 55-gallon drum of K-Y is for!

Here's a thought: try checking in from your computer at HOME, if you have one!

Merry Christmas to you and Devin.

You're right Gello, she does have some weird looking skinny kneecaps huh? OK, it's time to go find a new Jenn Sterger picture. I am running out of PG13 ones to use for an avatar. I have already been yelled at by a mod for one avatar I used....

Sounds like some good stuff is going on.

We are not doing anything for Christmas day but recovering. No gifts between us this year because we just back from a trip and SHOT is just around the corner.

However....

On Christmas Eve we are playing guest cooks at The Fisher House. This is a place where families of wounded soldiers can come and stay for very little money ( cost of food while they are there ), but the "hotel" is free to all family members of one of the wounded, while they visit their kids or family members, the brave men and women who got injured looking out for all of us and our freedoms.

We have a nice 5 course meal planned. My girl's parents ( he is retired Navy and wife will chat ANYONE's ear off ) are going to be manning the front of the house, plus we have another couple who is a friend of my better half's family that is going to play wait staff and help clean up.

Really looking forward to this, almost with a kind of fear of "I hope we can do it right" and a sense of "this is going to be so cool".

The Mrs. picked up a 360 Kinetic sensor ( they have a 360 at Fisher House that was donated by MSFT ) so the kids can get some fun entertainment and wear themselves out while mom and dad can try to relax and let out some frustration and emotion between themselves over a nice meal.

I am taking the camera, so we will post some pictures if anyone is interested.

Very nice!

In her defense, her knees have probably seen a lot of use and abuse.

I bet that will turn out beautifully! What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday.

Thursday evening we're exchanging gifts with my stepsons, who will be at their Dad's on Christmas. Friday we're off to Oklahoma City to celebrate the season with Wife's mother and cousins. She's about to run out of family, never had many to begin with.

Sometime Saturday I'll call my sisters and aunts back in Georgia. I wish we could make it back there for the holiday, but with only one income at the moment, and a shortage of remaining vacation time, it just isn't in the cards this year.
