Default Chris Kyle funeral procession

I had the rare opportunity to pay my respects as Chris's funeral procession traveled through town. My wife and I stood atop an overpass as the procession passed underneath. Great showing by our locals. Fire Department had ladder trucks extended flying the US flag. Traffic was snarled, but I did not hear a single car horn sounded in frustration. Southbound IH 35 was completely closed to all but funeral traffic.

After being a part of such processions over the years, it was interesting to see it from a different perspective.

A man like Chris Kyle deserves that sort of respect. I'm glad it was an honorable procession with no road range sort of drivers.

Chris's body was laid to rest in the State Cemetary in Austin. This small cemetary is generally reserved for high ranking officials in State Government (Former Governor Ann Richards is also buried here). It is the closest thing Texas has to an Arlington National Cemetary.
