Choices, choices, choices....
well...my birthday is coming up in a couple of months...as is the time when I'm debt free...and I'm thinking about getting myself a present...I'm looking at a few options here. My question is...
1911?
Ruger SP101?
AK-47?
Ruger Mini-14?
OR
Start an AR build?
Right now I'm mostly feeling the 1911 or the AK-47. But I was hoping you guys could help me decide.

Why limit yourself, get them all.
Do you want one for any special purpose?
If it is just for the Fun Factor, I would say go for the AK. Pure Fun.

The $$$ is the limiting factor. I DO need a new carry but I'd LOVE to have an AK...I was also thinking about the Remington 750/7400, I am a big fan of Remington.

Dang..Any of those choices would be pretty good. AK prices are going down a little again and the ammo for them is pretty easy to find. if it was me I might lean that way. But I have an AR and thought I do want to get another upper for it sometime I do have a lot more fun shooting my M70 these days. And I have been thinking about another one with some wood furniture.

AK is fun. Ammo is cheap, and available.

Sounds pretty convincing. I've seen some Romanian AK's in my area for around 450, best price so far. BTW RugerGal your Avatar is awesome.
