Check out the Dolphins
I went out with some friends last friday doing some ground fishing for Haddok and Cod. We were about 30 miles out in one of their sweet spots and we were hauling in Cod as fast as we could reel em in, usually one on the jig and one on the leader.
When the well started getting full the capt starting cutting up the fish and tossing pieces over board. We must have been surrounded by 50-100 Dolphins just circling the boat. I only got part of it on video due to a small card in the camera and it was already pretty full. They started leaping out of the water, doing back flips and all kinds of tricks that I have only seen at sea world. I have been out on the ocean tons of times and have only seen usually one or two at a time, this was awesome and a real treat.

pretty cool! any of the dolphins try to snag one of the cod you were catching? I always enjoy watching dolphins and seals when I take a trip to the ocean

I don't think so, we did hook onto something really large but never go it near the boat. One of the older guys with us had one he was reeling in for a few min and got tired, So i ask " want me to take over for you " so I grab the rod from him and start to work it. About the second pull it broke free. I bet if he kept working it gentle being tired he would have gotten it in, as soon I started to muscle it the line snapped. Too bad cuz it was something big. We were finshing 100 lb test too, they suspected a shark bit the line and caused the break.

Wait till you see them jumping and doing flips. We had one beside the boat playing with a fish the other day. He keep spitting it out and bumping it around.

Most likely was not a dolphin. I've lived on the coast my whole life. Fishing and being out at see is a way of life for me. I have never heard of someone caching a dolphin. They are just way to smart. Not saying it can't happen. Just never heard of it.

LOL did you read the post or just watch the video They were doing flips and tricks for atleast a half hour and were there for prob 45 min.
And i didnt say we hooked a Dolphin, it was most likely a small shark or dogfish.
