Default Cash, Credit Card, Check, Gold Coins? How do you pay for your firearms?

Cash, Credit Card, Check, Gold Coins? How do you pay for your firearms?

I tend to be a cash man myself, the less of a paper trail, the better. But my state's semi-automatic rifle ban and burdensome handgun licensing is getting close and there just isn't enough cash to make all of the purchases I want to make so, I'm considering pulling out the emergency credit card and stocking up, but it will be a first for me. I guess as far as the paper trail goes, the state already has plenty

I've used a CC to buy ammo a couple of times lately, but that is just because I found it in stock at Wal-Mart and wanted to buy as much as they'd sell me

Cash or check in person, credit/debit/paypal online, and once I had to do a postal money order because the place wouldn't take anything else for some reason.

LGS - check

FTF - cash

Gunbroker or other on line source - money order so I don't have to wait for the check to clear before my gun ships. My bank does not charge me for money orders. Used PayPal at the seller's request on the first GB transaction I made.

I use Postal Money Orders for anything in the mail.

Couple that with Certified Receipts, and Insurance, and

you pay a little more, but get a lot of protection.

At home I use S&H green stamps. Remember those?

Credit card or cash. If I put it on the credit card, I give my wife the cash out of the gun safe for it most of the time. The card is paid off each month so we end up with 3 to 5% cash back on purchases.

I buy guns around tax return season, when I have a bunch of extra money in my bank. I usually use a debit card, as its just easier. Although, when I bought my revolver and lever gun this year, the LGS only accepts cash so I had to pull out cash for them.

I don't buy ammo, except for .22, as I reload. But I buy it all using the same method: debit card. I only buy that stuff when I have money to spend. No guns related stuff on the credit card for me. I've had to use it in actual emergencies too often to allow myself to put anything that is essentially a hobby on it.

For the record, I hate credit cards. I try to pay them often as soon as I can, and I prefer to not owe any money on them if I can avoid it.
