Not sure if this has been posted as I don't get to spend time here as much. But this is very good info for all of us as we are posting photos here.

You can turn off the gps locator in the phone so it doesn't mark where the pic was taken.

Well, let's not blow this too out of proportion for this website. Unless you are posting directly from your camera with GPS.

I don't know of any of my cameras that have any sort of GPS enabled unit and my understanding these are basically the new smartphones and "smart" devices that this encoding is part of.

If you have pictures that you want deleted from your past posts that you can't personally do, please feel free to send me a PM with a link and what images and I will delete them for you.
