The folks in old Scotland made great whiskey and raised incredible dogs. These are Gordon Setters the dogs of the Highlands. These dogs were along side the Celtic tribes during the time of the Roman invasions.

Near the same thing, to a dog.

FYI, the pit bull used to be known as the nanny dog. It was used in England to watch small children and keep them safe.
Anyone remember Spanky and Our Gang on TV? The dog in that show was a pit bull. One episode has a running subplot showing a crawling infant trying to get into all kinds of trouble. Every time the kid crawled towards trouble, the dog would pick the kid up by his diaper (cloth in those days!) and carry him back where he belonged. No stunt doubles, no digital enhancements, just the dog doing what he was bred for!

Seriously? I remember being jealous my beloved Pug opted to sit on your lap rather than mine.

I remember Star getting to your lap before Ruby could get there. Or was it the other way around? But it was towards the end of the visit... By the way, Happy New Year!!!

Honestly, it's as much of a benefit to me as to them. They seem to know I've saved them .... and they SEEM to try harder to please me. And I feel good about knowing they were BOTH scheduled for termination. At different times, a couple of years apart. And I feel good knowing that I'm smarter than whatever dipsh#t gave them up. Lacy is deaf, but it's makes so little difference if you know how to take care of dogs.
So, thanks axxe, but I think I get as much as I gave.
